Combined Priority Lands

The Combined Priority Lands map is a compilation of Natural Lands Trust’s SmartConservation® model and the Philadelphia Water Department’s Drinking Water Source Prioritization model.  The map has been developed to assist in locating areas in the watershed to protect for both ecological conservation and source water protection.  Protecting these areas offers more “bang for the buck”.  Throughout the watershed, there are 172,000 acres (14% of the watershed) identified as Combined High Priority Lands.
